I can't believe its so long since I posted any new info on our blog. Although in my defence, the team and myself have been really busy getting work out of the door to our customers. Just to catch up for a moment, we've had some great projects come our way over the last year and have carried them out within short lead-times and to the customers satisfaction. As well as the day to day repeat orders from our regular clients some of the memorable projects in 2014 were making and supplying acoustic wall panels for two major U.K companies. ( If you haven't heard of this great product before, click on there ACOUSTIC CANVAS One of the clients required several entire office and boardroom walls covering as well as partial ceiling areas. They have been very pleased with the results and instructed us to carry out more installations in 2015.
Some of the other projects were several public exhibitions at the Djanogly and The New Art Exchange Galleries. Also two phases of work produced and installed for the "Dean's Art Initiative" at the University Medical School, Derby Medical School and Clinical Sciences Building (City Hospital) www.nottingham.ac.uk
Other commercial work included a Clubroom for the U.K's elite spots players to view sports equipment / kit sponsored by a world leading name in the industry ( we're not allowed to say who but you'd know it
Last June we were involved in an exhibition held at the City Hall (City of Westminster, London) in conjunction with Roxanna Alison and The Nottingham University. Roxanna was so pleased with our contribution that we have recently received a further order for an additional exhibition in February 2015. .

2015 late Projects
......Moving onto this year the team has already carried out a number of significant major Projects within January. The New Art Exchange being one "Hussain and Sunil Shah exhibitions, The Commonality of Strangers and " Uganda Stories." This opens February 14th for more information go to www.nae.org.uk

Angela,
Custom Frames Accounts Director and Company Secretary underwent treatment in 2013 -14 for Non-Hokinson's Lymphoma. It's now over a year since her last treatment and she has responded well to this with just occasional check-ups, so as you imagine we are all relieved things are going well.

Cathy.
Again as some of our regular customers know in November of 2014 Cathy (our Studio Manager and computer mount cutting operator) was involved in a nasty motoring accident through no fault of her own on the way to work. Cathy was sadly hospitalised for a week and diagnosed with fractures to her back. Through the latter part of the year Cathy was making a recovery at home and unable to work until just recently. We are all glad to see her back with us however full recovery looks like it could take some time yet.

Roger,
At the start of last year 2014 Roger one of our framers and wood machinists unfortunately had an accident to his hand causing him to sadly have a few weeks off work to recover. He is now back, fully recovered I am pleased to say and working at full capacity with the team.

Dean,
It's looking like Dean is the only one of us who has escaped the Custom Frames curse ! While each one of us dropped out Dean has carried on consistently producing good quality work through time constraints and pressure. . . . . . . . good on Ya Dean.

ALAN.
Working up to the line this Christmas (2014) and with all of the last minute jobs to get out on time, I at least knew that I had a week's holiday booked in Morocco. Unfortunately on landing at Marrakesh Airport I took ill and found myself in a Moroccan hospital for two weeks with a serious illness. The biggest problem was the large projects that I had agreed to prior to the Christmas break. I need not have worried with a few emails and a little juggling, the team back at Custom Frames not only worked through these major projects but also took others on and completed all well in time of any deadlines. I can say that they let none of our customers down and I'm extremely proud of their commitment and professionalism .
