INTRODUCTION INTO PICTURE FRAMING
The skills you need to frame your own pictures as a hobby or even a paying one!
If your interest is borne simply out of a hobby, or you’d like to earn from it, our one-day introductory course is for you. Our friendly and professional team will guide you through the skills you need to make and frame your very own pictures or artwork. You will learn what tools and equipment are needed and how to use them safely and effectively.
Topics covered:
Introduction to picture framing- Health & safety in the workshop
- Learning to measure accurately
- Tools and equipment (provided)
- Skills in mount cutting - types of mount board, single and double mounts, mount cutters
- Types of frame moulding (frame sections)
- Cutting the moulding
- Joining the moulding
- Cutting glass and backing boards
- Assembling and finishing
- Suppliers of mouldings and equipment
What is included on the day:
- Maximum of 4 students per instructor
- Opportunity to see how a professional commercial workshop operates
- All materials required on the day
- Impartial advice on where to purchase materials, what suppliers to use and what equipment is best
- Certificate of completion
- Six months FREE advice and support on any framing aspect by phone or email
Half Day introduction course £120.00 inclusive of vat
Deposit required when booking £60.00 inc vat.
